With three choirs, a full orchestra and a lively audience full of seasonal cheer, Prescot Parish Church housed 250 people at last Friday’s Christmas Concert.
Well done to Liverpool’s Phoenix Concert Orchestra, and the choirs of Prescot and Whiston Methodist Church, Prescot Parish Church and St Mary and St Paul’s Primary School, for an entertaining evening of show songs, movie music, festive classics and traditional carols.
The event raised a massive £900, which will be divided equally between two worthy causes — the Mayor of Prescot’s Charity and Prescot Parish Church, who are raising funds to rid the 400-year-old church roof of a devastating infestation of death watch beetles. Thanks to performers and audience for their generosity.
