And so another 10 days disappear just as fast as they arrived.
THANK YOU, audiences, performers, sponsors and volunteers – all who made the Ninth Annual Prescot Festival of Music & the Arts a success. We welcomed more than 1,300 people through the doors this year, for a programme whose consistently high quality exceeded our expectations.
We bade a fond farewell to the 2013 festival with Haydock Male Voice Choir proving once again that they are among the finest male voice choirs in the North West.
The customary-yet-heartfelt cheering, applause and flag-waving as the audience joined in such patriotic favourites as Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory added to the palpable sense of occasion at this Proms-style finale.
But it’s not really goodbye. It’s simply au revoir. We’ll be seeing you again throughout the coming year for more arts, music, entertainment, culture and heritage events in and around Prescot.
And, of course, we’ll see you from 20 to 29 June 2014 for the Tenth Annual Prescot Festival of Music & the Arts. We guarantee a formidable lineup of concerts to celebrate the ten-year milestone.
