The Prescot Festival Chorus assembles once again, this time to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One, with a performance of Fauré’s stirring Requiem
The composer’s Cantique de Jean Racine and Prescot Festival director Robert Howard’s Ave verum corpus complete the first-half programme. James Luxton of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral conducts, with Peter Kwater of St Bartholomew’s Rainhill on the organ.
Haydock Male Voice Choir sing in the second half, with music including a selection of popular wartime songs.
Sopranos, altos, tenors and basses from across the region are welcome to ‘Come & Sing.’
