Thank You, Bentley, Volunteers & Audience!

Our thanks to Bentley Operatic Society, the Friends of the Festival and our appreciative audience for last week’s successful fundraiser.

We sat down to a delicious Cottom’s hot pot – confession time – some of us had seconds, and even thirds! – before enjoying an evening of Songs from the Shows with our Bentley friends (pictured, courtesy of Alan Humphreys Photography).

Among the highlights of the programme were a moving medley from Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers (catch his Educating Rita at this year’s festival) and some witty selections from the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, for whose productions the company are best-known.

We raised £338.50, all of which will go towards the 2018 Prescot Festival.
