It’s time to get out your diary and pencil in that all-important date – the Mayor of Prescot’s Charity Christmas Concert.

This year’s takes place at Prescot Parish Church on Thursday 12 December. For the first time we welcome the South Liverpool Orchestra, under the reliable baton of conductor Dr Robert Howard.

They are joined a panoply of local singing ensembles: Evelyn Community Primary School Choir, St Mary & St Paul’s Primary School Choir, Prescot Parish Church Choir and Prescot & Whiston Methodist Choir.

Expect a sterling programme of festive favourites and singalong Christmas carols.

Tickets are only £5 on the door, and children under 16 accompanied by parents are FREE. It starts at 7.00pm and finishes at approximately 8.15pm, with refreshments following.

See the What’s On page for more information on Christmas concerts, carol services and other events in and around Prescot, Whiston and Rainhill.
