The catering team at St Paul’s Church outdid themselves last night with a delicious hot pot supper. Liverpool folk band The Travelling People provided the music for the barn dance, and the crowds loved it — despite their exhaustion by the end of the night.
Today, JMU historian Rosemary Tyler takes us back in time to Prescot’s Royal History (11.30am, Prescot Methodist Centre), and this evening, we welcome the Liverpool Harmonic Gospel Choir, headed by Tyndale Thomas, MBE (7.00pm, Prescot Parish Church). Opening the programme will be the Prescot Festival Chorus, with a selection of anthems by John Rutter, the foremost composer of church music in Britain today. Soprano soloist Ruth Anderson joins them in a concert that promises to utterly spoil lovers of choral music.
See you tonight for the penultimate night of the Eighth Annual Prescot Festival!
