We are reining in our excitement as we look forward to this evening’s Songs from the Shows. Birkenhead Operatic Society have returned again and again to the Prescot Festival by popular demand – their witty, polished and entertaining performances always leave audiences wanting more.
Tonight’s ‘Best of British’ concert will feature songs from over a century of British musical theatre, from Half a Sixpence and Oliver! to The Phantom of the Opera and Me and My Girl. You’ll still be able to grab a ticket on the door, but get there in plenty of time to ensure a good seat. Doors open at 7pm or earlier, and the show starts at 7.30pm. Entry is £6, and the venue is Prescot Methodist Centre, Atherton Street.
