Home Front Raises £400 for Festival

The ladies of the Home Front made a return visit to Prescot last week, raising over £400 for the 2014 Prescot Festival.

Following a sell-out appearance in 2013, the duo came back with more songs and sketches from World War II. Over 80 people packed St Paul’s church hall to capacity for the show.

A big thank-you also to the congregation of St Paul’s for providing a first-rate hot pot and apple pie supper.

The funds raised will go towards a 10-day programme of arts and music events that this year includes organist Ian Tracey, award-winning brass ensemble Foden’s Band and, also at St Paul’s, Cheshire big band Dr Jazz & the Cheshire Cats.

The full programme is now online.
