The Mayor of Prescot’s Charity Christmas Concert saw a packed parish church of over 200, and raised £635 for local charities with a festive music programme for all ages.
Neston Brass Quintet entertained with their quirky arrangements of such Christmas classics as “Jingle Bells” and “Deck the Halls,” while the whole congregation stood up and sang carols including “Silent Night” and “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing.”
Prescot Parish Church Choir, St Mary & St Paul’s Primary School Choir, and the staff and children’s choirs from Evelyn Community Primary School sang “O Holy Night,” “Pablo the Reindeer,” “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and other seasonal favourites from across the world.
The money raised will be divided among the Mayor of Prescot’s five chosen charities: 1st Prescot Brownies, Playworld, Prescot Cables Youth and Junior Teams, Prescot Primary Nursery Fund and Prescot Army Cadets.
