2016 Prescot Festival Approaches
Preparations for the 12th Annual Prescot Festival of Music & the Arts have been underway since the curtain fell on the 2015 festival, and the full schedule is now online.
Tickets go on sale on 1 May 2016 for a packed programme that includes Swingshift Big Band, Wigan Youth Brass Band, Mozart’s Requiem, organist Nigel Ogden and more for all ages. Make sure Friday 17 to Sunday 26 June are in your diary!
Music Hall Night Raises £400+
On 4 March we spent a brilliantly entertaining evening in the company of Bentley Operatic Society, who brought laughter and jollity with their music hall revue The Good Old Days. We are pleased to announce the event raised £428 for festival funds. Many thanks to our performers and to the team at St Paul’s Church for providing a delicious three-course supper.
Volunteer as a Friend of the Festival
Would you like to get involved in the upcoming Prescot Festival? We always welcome new Friends of the Festival to volunteer with fundraising and events. Come along to our next meeting (and AGM) on Tuesday 19 April at 6.00pm in Prescot Parish Church. A hot cuppa and a warm welcome are guaranteed.
