Sopranos, altos, tenors and basses are once again invited to join the Prescot Festival Chorus for a ‘Come & Sing’ concert.
This year’s choice of repertoire is:
John Rutter, Magnificat
(Oxford University Press edition)
Hubert Parry, I Was Glad
(Novello edition)
Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral’s James Luxton conducts, and St Bartholomew’s Rainhill’s Peter Kwater is again at the organ.
Rehearsals take place at Prescot Parish Church on Wednesday 14 June (7pm-9pm) and Saturday 17 June (3pm-5pm), with the final performance on the same evening at 7pm. Participation is just £5, which includes score hire and seats for the second half of the concert, featuring Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral Girl’s Choir.
Full details are on the entry form, which you can download here (Word) or here (PDF).

Hello,
I am a first soprano and would love to join you on Saturday 17th. I have noted your rehearsal times. Can I pay on Wednesday evening please? Is there still room for me?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Hi, Jean. Yes, you are more than welcome. You can sign up on Wednesday at the 7pm rehearsal. I will ask the event coordinator to drop you an email to confirm. 🙂
