Christmas Concert Raises £1K for Charity

A delightfully festive evening of carols and Christmas tunes in Prescot Parish Church has raised £1,000 for local causes.

The Mayor of Prescot’s Charity Christmas Concert, an annual tradition organised by the Prescot Festival, saw St Mary’s filled with 400 people this year.

Monies raised will be split between Willowbrook Hospice, the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the Owen McVeigh Foundation for Children with Leukaemia, and 1st Prescot Scout Group.

Scratch Brass Ensemble, Knowsley Ladies’ Choir, Prescot Parish Church Choir, Evelyn Community Primary School Staff & Pupil Choirs and St Mary & St Paul’s School Choir (both pictured) provided the entertainment.

A huge thank-you to the organisers, performers and appreciative audience.
