The Prescot Festival Chorus will gather on Saturday 22 June to sing Gabriel Fauré’s enduringly popular Requiem. Ian Wells (Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Parish Church) returns to conduct, with Peter Kwater (St Bartholomew’s Rainhill) at the organ.
The performance takes place at 7pm in the historic, Grade I-listed church of St Mary the Blessed Virgin, Prescot. Singers are encouraged to stay for the second half of the evening’s programme, featuring the internationally renowned Liverpool Cathedral Choir.
The Prescot Festival’s annual ‘Come & Sing’ event regularly attracts more than 100 sopranos, altos, tenors and basses of all ages and abilities. The occasion gives participants the chance to learn from an expert choral conductor and experience the thrill of performing live with a large choir.
Participation costs £6 per person, which includes score hire. Please note the small fee increase from previous years.
